Rano Hands Over Sacrificial Cows to RT Viral Kebayoran Baru

On Wednesday (5/27), Jakarta Acting Governor Rano Karno presented sacrificial cow donations to the residents of RT 11/07, Gandaria Utara Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, South Jakarta. The area has gained recognition as the 'Viral RT' for its environmental security innovations.

I am deeply grateful for this innovation

Held at Jalan Hidup Baru III Gang H Jeni 2, the handover was also attended by the South Jakarta City administration ranks and members of the local community.

Rano mentioned that the Jakarta government has allocated 210 sacrificial cattle to various areas within Jakarta. He explained, the slaughtering would take place incrementally over three days. Further, he hopes that the sacrificial meat will provide significant benefits to residents in need.

"The total number of cows is 210, which we have distributed throughout Jakarta. However, the slaughtering is not scheduled for the same day because some deliveries are arriving today. Within this three-day window—where the slaughtering does not have to be completed simultaneously—it remains part of the sacrificial tradition," he remarked.

On that occasion, Rano also commended the security innovations implemented by the residents of RT 11/07 through the 'e-Gate 11' Smart Gate system and anti-vehicle theft GPS. He emphasized, the success of maintaining neighborhood security cannot rely solely on the authorities, but requires active community involvement.

"Perhaps Jakarta can become number one in terms of security. We're grateful for this past year in Jakarta. It turns out that those truly guarding Jakarta are its own people. Why was the tagline "Jaga Jakarta" created? Because the military and police are of no use if the people of Jakarta don’t care," he explained.

He believes that the technology-based security system implemented in the neighborhood deserves to be a model for other areas in Jakarta. He expressed optimism that such innovations could be replicated in other residential alleys through training support and community collaboration.

"I am deeply grateful for this innovation. On behalf of the Jakarta government, I congratulate the residents of RT 11/07. I hope this can serve as an example for others," he stated.

Beyond neighborhood security, he also emphasized the importance of utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the community, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

He sees the area as having the potential to become a hub for AI training. According to him, AI technology can assist business owners in understanding the market and identifying target marketing areas more accurately through data-driven insights.

“With the AI we are preparing, we can identify which areas a particular food product is selling well in. We have this data; in fact, it covers not just Indonesia, but international markets as well. The advancement of AI technology is inevitable, so the public must begin to adapt,” he emphasized.
